King’s Review: How Academia and Publishing are Destroying Scientific Innovation

An interesting but depressing read at the Kings Review, an interview with Sydney Brenner. Lots of these points have been made before, but the but it makes quite a persuasive totality. I think things are worse in biology; perhaps we are heading in this direction with ever more focus on research ‘metrics’.
